About Ecchi - Sexy As Opposed To Sex
While the word Ecchi in Japanese does mean sex, its usage is more of sexy and perversion more than the intercourse itself. Common "ecchi" moments are when someone suggests something sex related, and or tries to hint at it through the use of movements or sexy clothing. Even the appearance of basic items like melons or a hotdog could take on the "ecchi" meaning.
